Portraits - Showing What Matters
There are essentially two approaches to portraits: in the studio with a clean look (black or white background, elaborate lighting setups) or on location. Shooting on location allows for a more personal perspective on the person, showing them in their private or professional environment. These photos tend to be more candid and therefore feel more natural.
How does it work? - How I shoot portraits
In an initial consultation, we discuss the intended use and decide whether the photos should be taken on location or in the studio. In both cases, I shoot at least 40-60 photos (unless you're in a REAL hurry...) and deliver the best shots through my private, password-protected online gallery. All photos are post-processed to a consistent style. You pick your two best photos, and these receive additional beauty retouching. I also create optimized formats for LinkedIn, Xing, or Facebook.
For executives, teams, and professionals who need images that work — on LinkedIn, in press releases, and on the company website.
I also photograph artists, authors, and musicians. Different context, same approach: real moments, real personality.
How Would You Like to Be Photographed?
Not sure what you want yet? That's fine - tell me where the photos will be used and I'll suggest the rest.
Most people feel awkward in front of a camera. That's normal - and my problem to solve, not yours. I direct, adjust, and keep going until we get a shot you'd actually use.
