The Photographer Who Understands Your Event - Not Just Documents It

What sets me apart from other event photographers: I'm not just a photographer - I understand what your event is about. Whether it's a vernissage or an international conference: I know which moments matter, because I know your world (either because I'm at home in your industry, or because I know the right questions to ask you to get there).

Through atmospheric photography, your events become re-livable for those who were there - and tangible for those who weren't. On top of that, they extend your reach when published on social media, your blog, or through a press release.

I'm a Vienna-based photographer offering professional event photography in Vienna and the surrounding area (e.g. the districts of Mödling and Baden) at a simple, fair, and predictable price. My strength is adapting flexibly to new situations and taking most things with a sense of humor - I rarely get flustered, which means I can deliver even in stressful situations.

A tip for 2026: The earlier you book, the better.

Your Events, My Lens: English-Speaking Event photography in Vienna

German is my mother tongue, but I have a genuine passion for capturing international events in and around Vienna - especially those with English-speaking participants. I'm comfortable and confident in diverse, multicultural settings, which makes it easy to connect with clients from around the world. I believe that speaking your client's language - literally and figuratively - helps capture the true energy and story of every event.

How Does It All Work? How I Photograph Events

  • Initial Consultation
In a preliminary meeting or via email, we discuss the details of the event and the photos you have in mind - including a walkthrough of the event agenda.

  • Aligning Expectations and Special Requests
Any specific wishes are taken on board (e.g. "make sure to get a group photo of the team"). I'm also happy to advise on things that help make the photography a success - such as the design of a trade show pop-up that will be used as a portrait backdrop. This helps align expectations on both sides so your event is documented exactly the way you want it.
One more tip: I'm also glad to shoot "alongside" the main event - a portrait or team photos, for example. Just let me know in advance so I can bring the right equipment!

  • On the Day of the Event
On the day, I arrive (and if booked, my assistant too) at least 30 minutes early to photograph the venue before guests arrive. Last-minute photo requests can still be accommodated at this point.

  • Sorting, Editing and Delivery
After the event, I back up the photos in triplicate, cull, edit, and make them available via galleries.seirer-photography.com. Minor special requests (e.g. specific edits) can still be submitted at this stage.

  • Follow-up
How satisfied were you? We discuss lessons learned - and sometimes even pencil in the next shoot or event. Since I work with many of my clients on a recurring basis, I get better and better at understanding what matters to you and how to make the most of the images we create together.

Pricing - What Does Event Photography Cost?

I'm happy to put together a custom quote for you. Multi-day events or coverage with a second photographer are no problem - we can work out the details in a call or meeting.

In general:

  • An initial consultation (by phone or in person in the Vienna, Mödling, or Baden area) is always included and highly recommended

  • Travel within Vienna, Mödling, and Baden is included

  • Delivery includes all successful event photos, post-processed (excluding portrait retouching) in maximum resolution and quality in JPG format

  • Photos are delivered via my online gallery in a password-protected client area

I don't sell prints - you're buying my experience, my enthusiasm for photography, and the results. If you'd like, I'm also happy to help you get the most out of your images - whether that's trade show roll-ups, large-format prints for your office, memory albums, fine art prints, collages, slide shows, fusion videos, and more.

What you get for your investment: The best possible visual support - before, during, and after your event. My on-site experience and personal working style help deliver consistently strong results.

Photography is never merely a representation of reality - it reflects, in many layers, far more than what is visible. Michael has a gift for translating these intangible nuances and vibrations into something our eyes can perceive, capturing much more than pure atmosphere. He is the perfect companion for visual and intellectual journeys of all kinds, and in his calm, quiet way a wonderful source of encouragement when embarking on new projects - thank you for that!
— Evelyne Sacher-Toporek, Grafik-Designerin

Michael has been working with Anecon/NAGARRO for several years now, handling extensive event documentation, great employee portraits, and compelling brand imagery for us. He approaches his craft with professionalism, dedication, and genuine passion. We look forward to many more projects together.

Michael has accompanied St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research at several events. A brief briefing is all it takes - and Michael knows exactly what to do. Whether it’s visitors in the laboratory during the Long Night of Children’s Cancer Research, artists on stage at our benefit soirées, or portrait shots and atmospheric images at our mentoring committee meetings - Michael puts everyone in the best light and frames every moment perfectly. With a keen eye for detail and an instinct for the right moment, even his candid shots become special memories.
— Andrea Prantl, St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung
